## Introduction
Phenomenology is the study of consciousness and conscious experience; how we experience and perceive the world around us. It was founded by [[Edmund Husserl]] in the early 20th century.
It is modernly associated with [[Anthropology (MOC)]] as a recognition that the human experience is conditioned by historical and social structures, race, class, and gender.
