# Abundance reduces value Created On: 10-13-2022 08:46 am Type: #note/evergreen🌲 Tags: #tag-needed --- An essential truth that abundance of any form naturally diminishes the intended or inherent value of a given thing. For example, our inherent mental value we associate with $1 is incrementally diminished when we have $1,000, then $10,000, then $100,000, etc. - it becomes less and less a percentage of the total sum. This is something we can subjectively and objectively experience. Subjectively meaning that the value diminishes uniquely within our mind/our perception. Opposed to the latter, objectively, where the overall valuation is lost more broadly, beyond yourself, such as through concepts such as [[Supply and demand]]. This is notably true in [[Materialism]].
