This responsibility typically falls back upon the writer and is oftentimes representative of a well-thought writer as they not only understand the content and context, but they also, most importantly, understand the audience: what they know, don't, and what they care to know. In another way of saying it, through this, we speak directly and intentionally to our audience in a thoughtful manner. In my experience, good executive writing is representative of great [[Leadership (MOC)|leaders]], especially concerning understanding the audience and how to deliver content directly to them in a richly meaningful way. For example, a senior leader should be well versed in understanding the difference between what the CEO *could* hear about compared to what they *should* hear about.
