You don’t have truly free autonomy will. This will require that you had complete uninfluenced dominion over your decision making. The reality is, this isn’t true or even possible.
Litmus: you need to be able make a decision without any undue influence, whether that be social, cultural, and subconscious, etc. influence - it requires a level of consciousness that we cannot even fathom holding.
Why? Because we’re influenced in every single way by those above things. You don’t simply go see a movie because **you** want to go see it. You want to go see it because you were **sold**, whether through the advertising of that movie, or even at a deeper level, you were sold on **the experience** of being at a movie theater.
In most cases, these things are not happening consciously, they’re functioning subconsciously. This indicates that we’re less aware and in control with managing the influences at a deeper level and how those directly effect our decision-making process.
If you wanted to take this even further, one could argue [[Carl Jung]]’s inclusion of the [[Collective unconscious]]. This can be used to illustrate that, things like religious premonition, are based on consistent early human ideas and passed down generation by generation from the earliest of humans. These act as near the genes of our unconscious mind - passed abstractly and then more concretely over-time given your heritage. And from Jung’s work, he believes it plays a role in our active subconscious - influencing our decisions across thousands of generations of unconscious bricks laid.
