# Human nature doesn't change Created On: 06-12-2023 08:41 am Type:: #note/evergreen🌲 Up:: [[Human nature]] Topics:: [[Stoicism (MOC)]] --- Regardless of the years that pass generations and the year in which you currently find yourself writing and reading this, know that what has past will again be the current and the future. There is not a moment in time that we, as human kind, haven't already encountered. The simplicity in this idea is that [[History repeats itself]]. And at the core and cause of that is us... humans. We're the constant in the equation. And while we've innovated, all of these were man-made and manufactured concepts, structures, and more as a means to make outward progress, not inward progress. Yes, things around you may *look* and *feel* different from how they did. But the human mind, the human condition, the motivations, the convictions, the sin, the strife - all of it, has been with us before. ==For those who're popularly highlighted and celebrated in the annals of history are those who made the most of a life that they didn't understand.== These individuals ran from themselves to make something outwardly meaningful. If you want to look into the future, look into the past. What persists this? Is it a lack of introspection? #note/question❓
