# If you can’t convince people, you’re wrong Created On: 05-23-2024 12:30 pm Up:: [[Leadership (MOC)]] Tags:: #note/evergreen🌲 Topics:: Related:: --- I tend to see this in contrarian-oriented individuals, in that, their definition of success isn’t acceptance from others of their idea, but the fact that they believe it’s right alone. In a direct sense, and especially in the corporate leadership space, your idea is only right if it’s accepted and it’s your responsibility to make that case by effectively selling it. If you can’t, it’s no one else’s fault, but yours. The imperative here is you make it or break it. So don’t sit back and complain that, “people just aren’t listening.” No, it’s that you’re not effectively communicating it, because the right message always finds the right audience if tailored. If you believe in it, put in the work to tailor it. And if it doesn’t fit, move on. It’s that simple.
