# Ally’s Chicken Casserole (Recipe) Created On: 08-28-2024 10:46 am Up:: [[Recipe]] Tags:: Related:: --- ## Ingredients - 4 cups cooked rice - ½ c butter, divided - ¼ c flour - 2 c milk - 2 t chicken bouillon granules - ½ to 1 t seasoning salt - ½ t garlic powder - ¼ t pepper - 4 to 5 cups cooked cubed chicken - 12 oz Velvetta, cubed - 2 c sour cream - 1½ c crushed Ritz crackers (32) ## Directions Spread rice in the bottom of a greased shallow 3 quart or 13 × 9 × 2 baking dish; set aside. In a saucepan, melt ¼ c butter; stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add milk, bouillon, seasoning salt, garlic powder and pepper. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened and bubbly. Reduce heat; add chicken, cheese and sour cream. Stir until the cheese is melted. Pour over rice. Melt the remaining butter; toss with the cracker crumbs. Sprinkle over casserole. Bake, uncovered, at 425 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until heated through. Yield: 6-8 servings
